Meet The Team
I'm Ashley Dowd & this is my trusty design assistant, Max.
Beginning with a formal study of interior design and architecture in 2002, Ashley expanded her knowledge of design to include; kitchen and bath, multi-family and residential new construction & remodeling. After completing over 600 hours of internships, Ashley earned a BS of Interior Design in 2006 from Missouri State University.
Following graduation she designed multiple new-construction custom homes in Southwest Missouri.
In 2009 she relocated to Denver, Colorado where she worked with a boutique kitchen and bath design firm.
In 2020 Ashley started West Coast based Shelter Modern LLC with a goal to modernize existing residential interiors in both Nevada and California.

Success in design requires a special skillset that can orchestrate dozens of people and thousands of ideas. It is necessary to edit, make decisions and juggle a variety of roles as a project arrives at the finish line.
